Before each of my family sessions I send a questionnaire that asks some simple questions about each family member and any requests the clients may have. This helps me make their experience even more special and true to what they expect. Some enjoy a full candid gallery and others want more naturally posed portraits. I usually provide a mix of both. Most often I'm taking photos of young kids so this was a refreshing break because the youngest member in this family was eight. We had an absolute blast and the family did awesome with my crazy and sometimes awkward requests, that always evoke a natural laugh or sweet smile.
